Disney Saratoga Springs Resort

Disney Saratoga Springs Resort, part of the Disney Vacation Club, will transport you to the quaint Victorian horse-racing town of Saratoga Springs, New York. This large resort is beautiful and a pleasant respite from the parks.

Disney Saratoga Springs is themed after the namesake horseracing town in upstate New York. Built on the grounds of the Disney Institute, this is the largest Disney Vacation Club property at Walt Disney World with 18 buildings and 828 villas. The Victorian setting on the water conveys a sense of peace.

Different sections of the resort opened in phases over three years from 2004 to 2007. The areas of the resort include:

  • Congress Park
  • The Springs
  • The Paddock
  • The Carousel
  • The Grandstand

Sixty unique treehouse villas opened in 2009.

The following villas are available:

  1. One room studios
  2. One bedroom studio
  3. Two bedroom studios
  4. Special three bedroom treehouse villas

The villas are tastefully decorated. Rates start at $367 per night.

Disney Saratoga Springs Resort is not affiliated with a Disney deluxe hotel, but it offers some very nice amenities. Saratoga Springs is huge place and can require a lot of walking.

Bus service is available to the theme parks. There are five bus stops at the resort. A car is recommended due to the resort's remote location. However, Saratoga Springs is nearby Downtown Disney which can be reached by boat or walking.

Dining

The following dining options are available:

  • Turf Club Bar and Grill for casual sit down restaurant open for dinner. The restaurant serves steaks, salads and other American cuisine including cheesecake
  • Backstretch Pool Bar
  • Artist's Palette
  • The Paddock Grill

On the Rocks and Turf Club Lounge are available for drinks. Visitors can also have pizza delivered to the rooms.

Recreation

Saratoga Springs Resort offers two themed pools and three quiet pools with hot tubs.

  • The Paddock Pool was built in 2011 with a cool slide, zero entry and a hot tub
  • The zero entry High Rock Spring Pool has waterfalls, geysers, a slide and a child play area

Other recreational options:

  • Senses Spa offers a full array of spa treatments
  • Bike rental
  • Campfire
  • Community Hall for ping pong, foosball and more. Disney Vacation Club members can also borrow sports equipment and grill tools

Disney Saratoga Springs Resort has a lot of charm. The buildings and rooms are attractive and the unique treehouse villas are special at this resort. The resort is beautiful and peaceful, but huge. A car is helpful here. Downtown Disney is nearby offering a range of dining, shopping and entertainment.
