About Disney Old Key West Resort
This casual resort will whisk you away to the Florida Keys with its tall palm trees, lush landscaping and golf course views amidst a winding canal. Opened in 1991, the Disney Old Key West Resort has 761 villas. The resort was recognized by the Florida Green Lodging program in 2007.
The quaint two and three story Old Key West buildings are painted in bright pastel colors of blue, pink and green with white gingerbread trim. The resort has a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. The buildings have exterior corridors and no elevators. Hospitality Hall contains the check in area and guest services.
Old Key West villas sleep between 4 to 12 people and are available in the following options:
- One room studio (390 square feet)
- One bedroom villa (942 square feet)
- Two bedroom villas (1395 square feet)
- Three bedroom grand villa This popular villa covers two stories with 2375 square feet
Old Key West room decor is light and airy. Rooms are decorated in light colors with ceiling fans and attractive window blinds. The studios have kitchenette with mini fridge, coffeemaker and small sink and
microwave. There is a jacuzzi
tub, kitchen and laundry room in all villas except the studios. The villas have 32” flat screen televisions and safes. Old Key West rooms are non-smoking, but there are designated smoking areas. Rooms
were renovated in 2010 with granite countertops.
Preferred villas are available which are located close to the main Old Key West resort amenities.
Old Key West Resort was the first property in the Disney Vacation Club and the units are larger than the newer properties. Old Key West offers the lowest rates and best value for Disney Vacation Club villas on Walt Disney World property. Rates start at $367 per night.
You can stay the Disney Old Key West Resort by joining the Disney Vacation Club timeshare, booking through Disney like a regular hotel room or renting from the Vacation Club member.
Old Key West Resort check in is at 4 PM and check out is 11 AM.

- Good's Food to Go quick service for burgers, soups, salads and sandwiches near the pool. You can use Disney's refillable mugs here
- Gurling Suitcase Libations & Spirits a Key West styled bar. You can order lunch and dinner from Olivia's
- Olivia's is a nice sit down restaurant serving standard American food for breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Turtle Shack Snack Bar for quick service food poolside. Serves pizza, hot dogs, salads, beer and wine. Open seasonally
Pizza delivery is also available to the rooms.
Conch Flats General Store is a small, but nice store selling Old Key West merchandise, souvenirs, alcohol and (expensive) grocery items.

- Old Key West has a nice pool with a waterslide. There is a large sand play area, a hot tub and kiddie pool. There is a sauna in the lighthouse.

- Conch Flats Community Hall for pool, darts, foosball, video games, ping pong and shuffleboard. You can get tennis, basketball and volleyball equipment here. DVD's can be rented for non-Vacation Club owners and are free for Disney Vacation Club members

Disney Old Key West resort hosts daily activities are offered such as landscape tours and games. Guests receive a newsletter at check in with resort activities. Laundry rooms are available (for a fee) nearby each pool.
Buses serve all Disney areas from five bus stops. The resort is very spread out so a car is beneficial if you are staying at Disney Old Key West. There is a boat to Downtown Disney.

Old Key West was the original Disney Vacation Club property at Walt Disney World. The complex is huge, yet has beautiful grounds, is a lovely boat ride away from Downtown Disney and offers a nice pool. Old Key West has limited dining options and visitors will likely want a car. The units are attractive, spacious and cheaper than comparable villas at other resorts, making Disney Old Key West Resort a great choice for the Disney Vacation Club.
