About Hilton Head Disney

As part of the Disney Vacation Club timeshare, the Disney Hilton Head Resort opened in 1996 with 102 units. Located on beautiful Hilton Head island in South Carolina the resort is a five mile drive from Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Hilton Head enjoys a lovely natural setting and is a renowned golfing destination.

As a recreation of a rustic seaside hunting or fishing lodge, the resort is a peaceful retreat. This hotel is not heavily Disney themed, though there are Disney touches and the expected attention to detail. The main resort building is in the marshlands of Longview Island in Hilton Head. The resort has limited dining options on property, but good restaurants are within an easy walk away.

A second resort building, Disney’s Beach House with 13,000 square feet of space, is on the Atlantic coast just over one mile away from the main building. Guests can drive or take a shuttle to the Beach House from the main resort building.

The Disney Beach House offers many amenities including restrooms, quick service dining, showers, changing rooms, pool, arcade and other recreation such as nature walks, crafts and family activities. The Beach House has 12 miles of beach and recreational area. Guests can rent umbrellas and beach chairs.

Disney Hilton Head is a very peaceful, relaxing and family friendly. As a division of the Disney Vacation Club, you can purchase the timeshare or rent a villa. Hilton Head is known for its golfing and lovely natural setting. The resort is chock full of activities though the beach is over a mile from the main building and there is not a sit down restaurant on the property. The Hilton Head Disney more than makes up for these minor inconveniences by providing excellent service and comfort in a beautiful setting.
