Which is the Best Character Breakfast at Walt Disney World?

In this issue we will count down to the best character breakfast at Walt Disney World.

Character breakfasts are a big deal at Disney and guests love to flock to them. While they are pricey, the character meals are a memorable experience and a great chance to meet characters up close without waiting in line.

Here is our countdown to our favorite character breakfasts:

Number 5: Join Minnie, Goofy and Donald in their beach attire at the Cape May Café in the Disney Beach Club Resort. This restaurant serves an excellent buffet and is one of the more sedate character meals at Walt Disney World.

Number 4: Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is a memorable dining experience in the Norway pavilion of Epcot center. Meet the Disney princesses and dine on traditional American breakfast food served family style with a traditional Norwegian cold buffet. The setting is a lovely Norweigan castle.

Number 3: Meet the big cheese himself at Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary Resort. Chef Mickey’s is a traditional character breakfast for many families. The array of food is overwhelming and some of it is very good. There is a fun parade for kids with the characters and the monorail gliding by overhead adds to the atmosphere.

Number 2: ‘Ohana is one of the best character breakfasts on Disney property. Located in the tropical Polynesian Resort you can meet Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto. The excellent food is served family style and includes yummy juice.

Number 1: Cinderella’s Royal Table is still the hottest ticket in town! Meet Cinderella and the Disney princesses inside the medieval dining room of Cinderella’s castle. You will be served a fixed price meal amidst the elaborate high ceiling, stained glass, suits of armor and flags. The meal is very expensive, though it includes a photograph of your party with Cinderella. Children also receive a toy wand or sword.

This is the most difficult reservation to secure at Walt Disney World. You must make Advance Dining Reservations exactly 180 days prior. If you are unable to secure any of these reservations keep on checking as people cancel reservations frequently. Character breakfasts can be chaotic and noisy, but they are great!

New!

One of Disney’s best restaurants, the California Grill, re-opened on September 9th after a lengthy refurbishment. The restaurant has a brand new modern look. Featured are new floor to ceiling windows that highlight the fabulous panoramic views from the top of the Contemporary Resort. The new menu offers a lighter touch and an expanded wine list.
