The Best Pools at Walt Disney World Resort

Join us as count down to the best pools on Walt Disney World property!

# 5 The Animal Kingdom Lodge has a lovely zero entry pool with a free form shape. The hot tubs are nicely secluded. Where else can you take in views of an African savannah from a pool? #4 Disney’s Boardwalk Inn features Luna Park which is a water carnival. The 200 foot long Keister Coaster water slide looks like an old fashioned wooden roller coaster.

#3 The Big Blue Pool at the Disney Art of Animation Resort. This is the newest and largest pool on Walt Disney World property. This visually appealing pool features a zero entry area and has underwater music. This value resort pool does not have a water slide or hot tub.

# 2 Nanea Volcano Pool at the Polynesian Resort is the best for atmosphere. This zero entry pool offers a view of Cinderella Castle in the distance. It starts as a stream and wanders through lush tropical flora to the pool near the Seven Seas Lagoon. The pool features a 40 foot high smoky volcano with a waterfall and a slide right through it. Thee is a seating area inside the pool that has heated jets. Music is played underwater. Burning tiki torches add to the mood at night. The Polynesian does not have a hot tub, though we hear one is coming soon! Watching Wishes fireworks from the pool will feel like your own slide of heaven

#1 Stormalong Bay at the Disney Yacht and Beach Club takes the prize for the best resort pool at Walt Disney World. Shared between the two resorts, this three acre watery playground is more like a miniature water park than a hotel pool and offers plenty of room to spread out. It features waterfalls, a sandy bottom, 150 foot long slide through a ship wrecked boat. Visitors can also relax in an inner tub on a lazy river. The free form pool has small sandy beach for building sandcastles and a spot for water volleyball in the pool.

Runner Up: The Old Port Royale Pool at the Caribbean Beach Resort has a pirate theme. This pool was refurbished in 2008 and water cannons were added. Pirate ship/water play area is great and dumps an enormous bucket of water on squealing children at regular intervals.

Let us know what you think… Which Disney World hotel do you think has the best pool?
